I wrote that knowing that my dad raised pigeons as well. Hey, it was the Depression. They were homing pigeons. That colors it a bit. Outside of that...I don't get it.

I knew a guy who raised tumbling pigeons for competition.
As I understood it, you threw them in the air, they would fly high, and do this freaky, free fall tumble through the air. Kinda cool, but very weird.
Yeah. Flying rats fer sure.
