- Go to Christmas isn't about presents for us
You're right - that
is too much work, trying to make the kids believe that Santa delivered a fully-decorated tree along with the presents.

That would be just too much work for me.

I hadn't heard of waiting till the kids were asleep on Christmas eve to put up the tree , either, until this radio host mentioned it several years ago. Those parents must have been exhausted when it came time to open presents the next morning.

allyk, my wife is great. I am so lucky.
Our sixth anniversary will be this Christmas Eve. Another year with her is the best present I could get for Christmas.

Ben, I hadn't heard of that.
We are going to be putting our tree up this Tuesday.

Will Santa bring the tree down the chimney along with the gifts?
Seriously, there's a radio host in Chicagoland that grew up in a home where the tree wasn't put up until he and his brother went to bed on Christmas eve. As far as he and his brother knew when they were younger, Santa brought the tree down the chimney.
