Happy Thanksgiving back. My post on Rangel's draft proposal was tongue in cheek as you so clearly saw. What I foresee in the next congress is a concerted effort to block Bush in whatever he attempts to do, the country be damned! I hope not but I look at committee chairmen like Rangel, Conyers, Waxman, Leahy, Kennedy and the rest. What about Alcee Hastings? Pelosi is going to name him to head the House Intelligence Committee! He was impeached and removed from the bench as a federal judge for accepting a bribe! I couldn't be more appalled! Out of the frying pan, into the fire. I'm afraid the bad guys are going to see this as a perfect time to hit us where it hurts! In our disarray, we've become vulnerable to attack!

I think the draft should never have ended. Young people need to know what their fighting for other then suicide bombers and murderers. They need to know it's about truth liberty and freedom for all. Freedom is a given to most young people...it should be demonstrated that it isn't!
GlennB needs to be the first in line to servem but he wouldn't know what side he was fighting for~

Take a person's thoughts and spin them to con anyone who will listen! I often wonder if the words Cons use to attack others are really their own deeper resentments to fair and impartial reasoning!

Just kidding. I'm not American but I see no merit in
drafting people into a war. Albeit some of the statements made diminish the honour or commitment the U.S. soldiers have made - and the bravery they have demonstrated - I suspect some of them question the validity of still being there. Don't you think there's at least an ounce of that kind of thinking going on amongst the troops?
