Since I am aiming for a back rub, I think I'll stick to the nice part today.

Well, I'm not as bad as I come across, Bel, you catch more flies with
honey than vinegar, as my grandma (my dad's mom) used to say, lololol..

Sounds like you had a better Thanksgiving this way...and on the plus side...my Cowboys won (guess that wouldn't impress Carl though)...

Greeeeat...Bel, you tell Carl I said to either get up off the couch and do
something helpful, or get out of your way and stop running his mouth.  Men...

If you call watching the game
and eating ice cream useful....otherwise, nope not at all Blanche!

LOL Blanche
Carl just asked me if I was still sick!  I generally put off the holiday with everything I have.  I don't know what happened, this is rather scary.

You shuld have seen me, in the storage unit downstairs, Bel, I was stacking
up boxes and chairs to get to the Christmas wreath, lights, and paper in the back. It was pretty funny.

Blanche

It must be contagious.  I had Carl bring the Christmas stuff in today.  Mind you I generally put it out after Pam nags me to the point that I want to scream.

Bel, well here's hoping NEXT Thanksgiving is a quiet family one.
I am getting in the holiday mood, for the first time possibly ever in my life.  I''m running around putting out candles and putting up the wreath. What is wrong with me?

No Problem Bhas
The tradition actually is supposed to date back to the pilgrims.  At least the turkey part.  While turkey is not the stated meat, they did gather Fowl which could be turkey, duck or chicken.  I think turkey became the chosen meat because it's bigger than the others and can feed more.

Bel, Thanks for sharing. I just wanted to know this.

Bhas
It is the traditional meal.  Turkey, stuffing, mashed pototoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries and Pumpkin pie there is usually a vegatable and at least one salad as well.  It is also obviously our day to eat to darn much LOL!

Hi bel,
Is it customary for American's to eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day? Elsewhere too I've been reading this.

bel, LOL, I don't think I want to know? LOL
After that episode, I'm very picky about my chinese.  If the restaurant doesn't smell or look clean, I leave!

Shelly
What is it about chinese?  I know so many people that have gotten sick from that.

A while back, I got food poisoning from Chinese food.

I ordered take out and the guy was at my door in 15 minutes.  A bell should have gone off in my head?  I was so sick, I didn't work for 3 days.  Oh, and I didn't eat chinese for a whole year.

I'm glad this Thanksgiving was a good one for you!
