Go for it!
I used to be so fit and it doesn't take long to lose it!  Thanks for visiting my PD blog while I was / am recuperating.  I will have to take my new walker out and about our neighborhood to walk.  I can't drive anymore and I need to avoid falls when walking.  I've had one fall since surgery but "someone" cushioned me; I swear I'm not delusional!  I was on meds plus the pain meds, so I really didn't feel it too much. My balance is worsening because of the PD and I just fall over; it's almost as if there's a force pushing on me because my muscles feel too weak to resist the force, but I must say the landing this time, on my front side where two of the incisions are located, felt as YPunday said, as if I was in the hands of God, which of course explains why it was a gentle landing.

I think that it's commendable that you are shaping up.  Use it or lose it!  It's a lot more fun using it!
