Retail
Hang in there, Sex and the City. You will find something...and you will write that novel. I know you will- look at how much you're blogging- and they're good! Just sit down and write whatever comes out. Even if you write one sentence a day for your novel- just a little at a time and you'll have it ready when it's time.
I know retail pays the bills, but it takes up so much of your life. I've always wanted to work at a book store because I'm addicted to reading....

Retail
Unfortunately, because people love to spend money, retail is a good career to invest in. I worked retail in high school and college, but I never made it to assistant manager or anything beyond that. So after losing my job, the first place I applied was none other than my old friend, the bookstore.
The bookstore I worked in when I was in high school was taken out of the mall a few months ago. No one I knew was still there, and it looked so different, yet hauntingly the same. I miss those days, for being what they were. Easy, not much stress. And then I grew up, went to college, and graduated from college. Only to end up in sales/customer service positions. And finally I thought my big day had come, when I got a position as a technical writer. God knows I wasn't the best at it, but I certainly tried.
So here I am again, back at the beginning, long for a retail job...something to pay the bills while I concentrate on getting up the courage to finish that novel I started 12 years ago, before I hit my teenage years...
