Bush forced Lott to resign?
So Blogflogger opined. Yet unlike the liberals, President Bush acknowledged and accepted Lott's apology. It was the hounding of the liberals for whom no apology was acceptable that drvoe him out of the leadership position.
And calm? Why, coitainly!

WriterofLight - It was Bush's comments that forced Lott to resign.
12/13/2003 - "Recent comments by Sen. Lott do not reflect the spirit of our country," Bush said to loud applause. "He has apologized and rightly so. Every day that our nation was segregated was a day our nation was unfaithful to our founding ideals."
This is one liberal who doesn't have any problem with the Repulicans electing whom ever they please as their party leaders. Calm down. You may be fighting a fight that doesn't exist.
