NY, good observation...
I've found that instance in other professions as well.  I like the fact that folks are taking more responsibility to help themselves.  I am a certified bookkeeper and much more affordable than a CPA, although CPAs are required to continue education and should be current on all the latest tax laws, etc. (US).  I believe also that because of the continued rising costs in health care and health insurance (US), many folks are catching on to preventative and alternative treatments; less costly and not involving synthetic drugs.  Legally speaking, I believe it is still difficult for most to play attorney because of US government, both federal & local being so incredibly screwed up, to be blunt (an opinion).  This was a good post regarding the information available on the internet.  Thank you.

Passion Flower

The basic fee for my MD is $20.00 but I live in Tokyo and fees are generally cheaper for those who don't have health insurance.  If my doctor billed the public system he probably would get paid more.  Health costs are out of control in the US.  I feel bad for those who have no coverage there.

Thanks for your comment.  Feel free t read the other.

I have never blindly trusted doctors...

Too many bad ones. And where on earth did you find a doc who only charges $34 for an office visit???

Mine is a $70 minimum and I don't have insurance.

I was going to say "Welcome to Blogit" but noticed that you've been around for a while...just don't post much???
