oh, and btw, Freeman, it's a clear morning and I can see Bremerton from
here, out my living room window. Want me to wave hello for you?  There's snow on the Olympics. There is a lot of snow here, the Cascades are having an unusally early and heavy snowfall. Just thought you might like to know.

Freeman, do you have that jambalaya recipe handy?

I have heard so much about this one
I have to see it, just to know for myself. The concept sounds brilliant, but things like that tend to fall way short of hype. Thanks for a good assessment. If nothing else, I'll wait for the DVD...

There are so mnny good movies, Freeman, that we nixed this one right off

the top.  It looks like Smirnoff Yakov, that dumb 80s comedian who was never funny.  Dumb, dumb, stupid dumb.

Btw, BrightIrish and I would like a repost of your jambalaya recipe. I printed it out once and lost it. Can you find that and repost it for us, please?

I never watched the Ali G film for the same reason. The great thing about

Sacha Cohen too is that he is at his very best when improvising and going off at a tangent, so to be restricted by the need to keep to a pre-set storyline must be very limiting.

I'm still going to go and see Borat though.

Dave - I think you hit the nail on the head. We've seen it so often
with Saturday Night Live sketches brought to full length films.  A couple of the interview scenes are really funny but they feel like they were plugged in with little thought of the story.

I've heard a few bad reviews, but am still looking forward to it.

Some of his in-role interviews that he's done for the UK press have been hilarious. I wonder whether that's where the problem lies, that as a sketch character, Borat works, but as a character in a unified story, he doesn't.

I'll let you know what I think when I've seen it.
