ROFLMAO at Corbin, you are such a wit,. We won, and like you said in 2000
Move on and get with the program.  31 seats in the House, 6 Senate seats, and 28 governors. DEMOCRATS are in charge, and  we will do what is right, for a change.

Indulge me a bit...

Equally bizarre, in my mind, is the presumed right by the U.S. to “detain” suspected al Qaeda supporters simply (or seemingly) on a suspicion.  There is no actual al Qaeda “membership” list nor is there a firm criterion on which this decision is based.  Immigrants arrested in the United States may be held indefinitely on suspicion of terrorism and may not challenge their imprisonment in civilian courts. This is the doing of the Bush administration.

For example,  Kahlah al-Marri, a citizen of Qatar, was arrested in 2001 while studying in the United States and is being held at a military prison in South Carolina as an "enemy combatant."  He remains in custody.

The new law says that enemy combatants will be tried before military commissions, not a civilian judge or jury, and establishes different rules of evidence in the cases. It also prohibits such detainees from challenging their detention in civilian court... Human rights groups and attorneys for the detainees say the law is unconstitutional.

Ya think?

Thanks for listening.....

Justi,
I wonder what the WP and the NYT are going to make of that! Wasn't that one of the reasons advanced as grounds for the impeachment of President Bush?
