Time for a dinner break before I continue, Writeroflight, steak, asparagus,
and mashed potatoes, which I need to whip together. Let''s reconvene tomorrow, shall we? Have a good evening. Until we cross swords again.

Writeroflies? Writer of lies? Writer o flies?
I am not stating that you, personally, do any of this. The context was those whose rhetoric does lend itself to such interpretation. It was not my intent to lump you together with Michael Moore et al. But by the same token, we conservatives are quite often given the same treatment.
If you can demonstrate that my musings on the passing political scene are based on misinformation, then please do so. The invitation is always open. That’s why I do my best to provide documentation for the stories on which I comment. If we have a difference of opinion, then let’s discuss it.

Read closer, Writeroflies, then, (just an affectionate epithet, you surely
don't mind, because what's a little pejorative name-calling between debate partners, eh?) stop projecting your own pre-conceived notions onto me, and my "kind" and really look and learn. I am not unpatriotic, neither do I profess to hate all the military stands for, it's badly utilized, ask Scoop.
Why do you think that I disrespect the flag? What have I ever done personally to make you assume that? I hold my country and it's founding principles, the Constitution, and the law in the highest regard, and I am offended you would say or insinuate otherwise.
You are distoring the truth and printing misinformation and mindless drivel and that loses MY respect.

Welcome, Triggy!
Thanks for the comment. A third party will probably be created if the Republicans don't start acting like conservatives and honoring the wishes of their conservative constituency.

Hey, I don’t mind being called names!
I’ve put up with it all my life. But the satirical nicknames I use are just that, satire, and if you’ll read what I write more carefully (courteously?) you’ll see that they in no way detract from direct confrontation of the issues I take on. And if you’ll read back through my musings and comments thereon, I think you’ll see that some of the comments were notably courtesy-free even before I began using satire. The left is in need of that lesson you share.
As for respect, I have little for the stuffed shirts I go after in my writings. You may find this off-putting, but disrespecting my country, its flag, its military and its values is a pretty effective way to lose my respect. Where criticism is due, bring it. But so much of what the left says – from Michael Moore claming America is evil to Kerry calling the military terrorists to the good Professor Peabody claiming by inference that I think people enlist in the infantry only because they can’t find a job or to stay out of jail – will set me off, and I make no apology for that. If I have strong opinions on something, I will share them.

The democrats and republicians are bad as each other.
As an outsider it is becoming apparent that America have a big divide in their country that no one wants to address. Personally I think you need a third major party to balance things out.

"lamestream" media, "Harry Greed"? Writeroflight, if you don't want to be
called names, stop calling your opponens' names and show the coutesy and respect you profess to desire, at least those who have requested on your behalf desire.
You get the respect you give out. Basic civics lesson 101. Show some courtesy, yo might get some back. Try it, it would make for a refreshing change. Stop attacking Professor Peabody, or whinging like a little girl when answers you in kind.
Politics is rough, wear a cup.

Thanks, Corbin!
I heard that too. McGovern doesn't fall under the heading of lying, unless you lump it under the general subject of the Democrats only being able to advise and consent as opposed to dictate foreign policy, which makes their elect-us-so-we-can-get-us-out-of-Iraq line a lie. Instead, it's sheer idiocy.
If we can survive without these loons destroying the country, the next two years are going to be crazier than a Marx Brothers movie. Saw on Nesmax that Nancy P. wants John Murtha - Murtha! - to be House Majority Leader (see http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2006/11/12/214157.shtml?s=br)

Writer...
They've even dug up George McGovern and he's working with them to withdraw all troop by June......and conversely, their starting in other public appearances to state that we can't withdraw too soon?
The platform” of troop withdrawal will only increase the violence against US Forces in Iraq. Unless/until the Democrats publicly repudiate their withdrawal platform, we need to support the full and prompt withdrawal of US Forces because it is wrong to leave soldiers on the field of battle when their mission is ill defined.
We do not support a partial withdrawal as that only creates a more dangerous situation for the remaining ground forces. It is also a major morale issue.
If there is going to be a pullout, it must be now and it must be complete.
