MEDICAL BENEFITS!!! (Usually, fast food health benefits consist of "Don't get sick!).

My point? I never saw one convenience store of Mickey D's go out of business.  The massive layoffs that small business warns about don't happen.  Employees make more money, owners & stockholders less (the law of supply & demand).  They have to share the pie a little bit more, AND THEY DON'T LIKE IT!!! But economic ruin? Hardly.  The minimum wage here in Washington is over $7.50 an hour, and our economy is booming.

Anecdotal "Proof"
From 1996-2000, I lived in the Denver area.  The economy was so good that almost every radio commercial spent its last 10-15 seconds reminding listeners that they were hiring good people.  When I managed a furniture store, one of my duties was to visit other retailers, and if I met a good salesperson, I was to "recruit" (poach) them.  I went to a Denny's after midnight (the last refuge of the nightclub set who've stayed past closing time) only to find it CLOSED! Why? they didn't have enough staff to keep it open during the graveyard shift.  7-elevens & burger king were advertising jobs at $8 to $8.50 (minimum wage was $5.15) WITH
