Hi, Whacky,
I'm no fan of modern day horror movies, or even the parodies of them, unless I'm in a silly, over-the-top type of mood. Or my date is forcing me to watch it. (Big sigh). That's what I think of the "Scream" and "Scary Movie" movies. Just to add to
TAPS' comment, I do like some of the older, early horror movies, because they are not as over done with all the gore and grapic violence, leave plenty to the imagination, and more effective, in my opinion; but I digress. Back to
TAPS' comment. Is Robert Montgomery the same actor from the "Marcus Welby" series (aka, Elizabeth "Bewitched" Montgomery's dad)? Anyway, if so, I've seen some of his early work. He was in an old Alfred Hitchcock spy movie, where he played the villain. I really like Hitchcock's work, too. Thanks.

Whacky, I watched an old one last night from a DVD my sis gave me. It was
Night Must Fall (1937) with Robert Montgomery playing the part of a mysterious brutal killer terrorizing the country and carrying around with him a head in a hatbox while playing a baby-faced caretaker to a crochety old lady. I've never seen him play anything like that before and I loved Dame May Whitty as the old lady and a very young Rosalind Russell as the young woman who unravels the mystery. I think you would like it if you haven't already seen it.

I must confess I've never heard of them before, but
they sound like they'd be worth a good laugh or two on a gray day!

They are really dumb, but they are funny (at least the parts in the
previews.)

Whacky, when I'm in a demented, er dimension mood, I can watch these
movies for hours, although like saul, I prefer something like "Silence of the Lambs" or the original "Psycho".

I'm not a big fan of the genre, Whacky. I find my disbelief totally
unsuspended. A horror film to me is
Silence of the Lambs.
Slither is a ridiculous waste of time (it's premise). But I love the
Scary Movie franchise. They're too funny. Dementia films is point on, Whacky.

I love horror films, but
I didn't really like the Scary Movie films. I like zombie movies, and ghost movies, but not really human vs. human. Vampire movies are okay, but not my favorite. I did like the Underworld movies, and Van Helsing. So there you have it. I hope you had a fun time watching your movies

Whacky

Not my cup of tea, Whacky. I don't watch many films, anyway.

Have a good day!
