Yeah Lady, it starts as $3 and but when you charge it and pay interest
It goes up and up.  But that makes my point exactly.  Who would pay more $5 of more for a gallon of milk?  Lots and lots of people do, that's who.

Ben, my wife is doing research on that right now
And what she has found so far is that even if you pay by cash, you should keep some credit card accounts open.  You need to have your cards for a couple of years to have a positive impact on your credit.  She hasn't found anything that says that you have to use them.

All you're doing is keeping the banks in business when you charge that value meal on a credit card, then make only the minimum payment every month. Ironically, I've heard that people who operate on a pay-as-you-go basis - and I've even heard of people building houses that way (paying for the construction of the house as materials are needed, rather than taking out a bank loan, building the house, then paying the bank back) - get a lousy credit score, as if they were deadbeats.
