You must have a lively mind and be able get in touch with your feelings
I think creativity comes both from looking outside yourself and from examining your own thoughts and emotions.

What's a toolbar? I've never had one.
As to ideas, like you I get a whole bunch and jot them down. Then when I go to read them I sometimes wonder "what was I thinking?"

That smile and rose is made with three lines of code each.

I write best with emotion-whether it's happiness, anger, sadness or
gratitude....it has to come from the heart or it just seems flat to me.
Sorry about your toolbar....Blogit should fix it. We pay to be here!

That is a relief. We have all changed and evolved in this long writing process.

Good to see you again. I say write from whatever emotion is in your heart at the moment you feel the urge to write. That's really the best way.

SYMPHONY
I can't imagine posting w/o a tool bar. Glad you got it worked out! As for what inspires me...well anything and everything! I will agree that lately I have forgotten so much of what I was going to post because I failed to write it down when the idea came to me! That is so frustrating~

I usually write about love, life and anything that is on my mind for the day....I don't have much writer's block because my mind is always thinking about something....lol

I'd have to say my best emotion (to write) is probably: nonplussed.
And, usually, the way I cure writer's block is to stand on my head, until the blood flows back in.
Whenever you read a good book,
it's like the author is right there
in the room, talking to you,
which is why I don't like to read good books.

My best inspiration tends to be conflict. I don't get writers block much but sometimes I have a block that concerns finishing what I start. Also, I used to have submitters block big time. When I do get blocked, I turn to another art form. I am not a huge fan of country music but sometimes I get some lyric or emotion stuck in my head and it inspires me to write a play. I have been thinking about Ladies Love Outlaws for years.t

I don't have a toolbar on this old computer. When I did, I couldn't post. I do on the other computer as blogit advised me to use firefox as a browser.s

Nature is my biggest inspiration, Symphony (and congrats to you and Julia.
for getting you back online, that would be maddening). That and my connection to God, the one I am always working on. It's the mystery of life that fascinates me.
I write poetry from both the dark and the light side, but sometimes when the dark side takes over its like Allen Ginsberg's "Howl", a long wailing rant.
Other times it's a song of joy, like William Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experiience. It's all good. I want to learn to paint, too. I bought acrylics and I've been looking at a course at the local community college.
