- Go to THERE HAS TO BE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE FOR TRUE FREEDOM
We must be vigilant
against encroaching fundamentalists trying to blur the line between the State and the Church. My favorite bumpersticker of all time is: "I don't come to your church and make YOU do Algebra there; don't come into my school and make my kids pray!"
It starts with "moment of prayer" or TAX MONEY for school vouchers (Oh, I'm sorry, the new Republican talking point is "school choice", as if kids can't already go to any school they want!) And ends with the teacher leading the class in a Christian-oriented prayer that, by definition, will alienate at least 10% of the class.

blanche -- what gets boring is fundamentalist christians
bringing up the subject over and over again
they quit and i think there would be not much need to present the truth in opposition to them.
As long as fundamentalist Christianity continues to spread misinformation, someone needs to counter with accurate information.

Blanche.
Spreading the facts and logic never bores me.
Trying to get people to think never bores me.
Trying to figure out humanity and the world never bores me.
After all I am a writer and if I wish to write at my best I need to understand man as best as possible. If I did not question the way things are and rip apart all aspects of our society I would not be doing that.

Reverend Kooka, don't you ever get bored with this subject? You've been
going on and on for several years now. Doesn't it just get boring to you?

good
Jefferson's statement makes liars out all those who promote prayer in schools and public display of religious symbols -- they have said that "separation of church and state" was a recent supreme court concept.
sorry guys.
give us our freedoms too, will you?
