Elections - and outcomes which on the surface suggest change is in the air
offer a short term infusion of hope. We elect new leaders on a national level and think they might do a better job but, as you said, for the working man/woman life goes on as usual and the paycheck is still stretched to the maximum to care for ourselves and our family.

You are right. No matter who wins things don't change for us average folks.
Except maybe we won't be getting 20 or 25 pre recorded calls a day at least for a little while. My answering machine almost burst into flames! I can turn the ringer back on.

I saw Ben Stein talking about what Bush should do a few weeks ago, and that is one of the things he said, replace Donald Rumsfeld.

I was so thankful to hear about Rumsfeld.
I wrote a blog several months ago saying that I felt he should resign...that I felt his handling of the war was costing us lives. Many others were saying the same things.
I actually had bloggers who left me scolding comments telling me how wonderful Donald was doing...it was baffling to me.
