what economic growth?, writeroflight?
some is probably fabricated for the election. it happened in 72 with Nixon -- giving out govt jobs/ both fed & state to lower unemployment.
while some items have grown, like corporate profits (mainly by lowering employment, cutting hours from 40 to 30 to avoid providing benefits, cutting back on benefits, laying off, outsourcing jobs to Se Asia, etc.) some have shown some worrisome trends, like housing -- and in particular a pretty good rise in foreclosures.

What next?
We hold the Democrats to the their promises to do what's best for the middle class and working families, a big argument Sherrod Brown made here in Ohio. Meaning: Continue tax cuts, continue economic growth, continue record low unemployment, continued strength on defense and national security. They talked the walk, now they need to walk the walk.
About finding a party that will uphold your values - precisely the sentiment of conservatives who are frustrated with Republicans who want to play Democrat.
