corbin_dallas -- yes i do have questions.
under whose administration did we have a budget surplus?

under whose do we have the greatest deficits?

whose taxes are getting cut by Herr Bush again?

and did you notice that Republicans are giving out pork-barrel projects just as much at the Democrats?  -- and did you notice the spending under Herr Bush, especially for Iraq, etc.?

there are evidences for the voters' perceptions.

P.S.; I am glad that you comment.

Stupidity had nothing to do with it......

Consider these results from a poll of voters in 12 swing GOP-held congressional districts, conducted by OnMessage Inc. (PDF):

No, these results are not typographical errors:

* When asked which Party they believe would cut taxes for the middle-class 42% said the Democrats while only 29% chose the Republicans.

* When asked which Party will work toward reducing the deficit 47% chose the Democrats while only 22% chose the Republicans.

* Again, when asked who will keep government spending under control the Democrats held a 17 point edge (38% Democrats, 21% Republicans).

Any questions???

The slimmest of margins?

"Bush won the presidency both times by the slimmest of margins -- meaning he did not have much support."

2000 was indeed a squeaker, but a 3,000,000 vote majority in 2004 was hardly slim.

Xeno - It means we have two years of fulfillment of hopes, dreams
and wishes for which people voted, or two years of what we sadly saw with the Republicans since 94 -- picking up the broken pieces of shattered dreams and unfulfilled hopes!
