I'm not really great with children, either. It's not that I don't like them, they just make me really nervous.
My cousin has two VERY bratty kids of his own. They torture my mum's dogs, which I WILL NOT tolerate. Thankfully, they won't be at my house for dinner. The only ones invited this year are mum and my uncle and my other cousin and her children if they have nothing to serve for dinner.
I was a picky eater as a child, so I have no right to pass judgement here.
Anyway, have a safe trip home and a nice visit with your parents...

Picky eaters annoy the crap out of me,
in general. People can like what they like, but there is a point where I say, "well, you deserved to be dropped in the woods for a couple of weeks." I hope you have as much fun as you can. Take care
