It should be interesting to say the least. I do hope we can get some things resolved. I am of the belief that while we have many domestic issues on our plate none of them will matter if we blink an eye and forget our national interests. Our enemy is not the dems nor the republicans...it is of a much greater threat then that. In other words we can keep our lawns very trim but a major storm pays no attention...

There are many issues here at home that are in dire need of attention. Perhaps they will be addressed now. I'm neither Democrat nor Republican, but I am for whatever needs resolution at the moment. Our country suffers from a deep rift of distrust and dishonesty.

Let the besmirching begin!

The mail-in ballots haven't even been counted, and look at the hostility!

Defining "the work at hand . . . "

. . . seems to be the problem. To some, it's impeachment and complete obstruction of the President and his ability to do his dury.

Uh, Writer, "to some" means who?  Speaker-elect Pelosi has specifically stated that there will be no impeachment.  I maintain that it would be strategiacally impractical; you won't get a conviction, and I don't like Dick Cheney sitting in the big chair any more than President Bush.  So just who is calling for impeachment?  The nebulous "them" on the left?

Does "obstruction" of the president mean requiring him to follow the law & defend the Constitution as he swore to do?  We have a system of checks & balances.  It works better with opposing parties.

As for the President's ability to "do his duty", I think the nation has spoken clearly on the job he's done so far.  He's just lucky he wasn't running for anything on Tuesday.  Dukakis would have beaten him!

Justi, no matter who wins, there's always freedom of speech,
which means we can write those letters to our representatives and senators and to the newspapers . . . .
