Nice to meet you. I don't know whether he'd be able to leave Warsaw now or not, but I met him only about three years ago, and the government was still making life extremely difficult for him.

Are you talking about Poland now or during communism.
I can't imagine that he can'tleave Poland now when its an EU country.
