- Go to This time, I'm writing about it
If you've been dissed, you've a right to be pissed!
I didn't intend it to rhyme, but sometimes it happens that way. Women as a class are treated like less than adults, we frequently do it to ourselves. In the case of a person with problems (bi-polar being one) others tend to attribute our righteous indignation -- our sense of being insulted or patronized -- to the condition, and not to their own insensitivity. It's difficult sometimes to make 'em see that your boundaries are reasonable and they're being jerks -- if you're full of rage and yelling your side of the debate. I hope you'll find a way to tell 'em off in a calm, reasoned way. Or, failing that, that you'll be able to avoid them.
