Okay, since when did you become enemies of "the left..."
All these years we've talked politics and you weren't a hardcore right winger. You were quite liberal on many things, if I remember correctly, and especially after Baghdad close up you weren't so pleased with the current administration. What's in the water out there cargo? Oh, I had my first real experience with the Navy recently. I don't know how you take the minutia and man, SO many mistakes. Now I know why you threw garbage cans. (Eddie's surgery was this week.) But, I gotta give props to the corpsman and the docs at the Navy hospital. After being in the field, they knew how to set us at ease even with complications... and they were so informal (hurl vs. vomit... lol). Funny. I've never seen so many Marines and sailors in my life. I saw that uniform you love so much and thought of you. I wondered if that LTJG had the right socks. :)

That was a very decent thing to do. As for the rest, Tom Hartman is pointing out that the center doesn't exist. The Democrats need to be Democrats, we're not going to win Conservative love or respect by placating and appeasing y'all.
As Toby Ziegler, the ficitonal character on West Wing said about Israel v. Palestine, "They'll like us when we win.".
