Yep
I completely agree with you.
By the way, I read what you had on this page, and I think I'll be coming back here again to read because I think you're funny. :)

Of course,
I don't think these other countries you listed claim to be secular. Other than that, there might not be much wrong with it.

prayer at a football game? why not?
I'm thinking each team will have its own prayer - please let me win. And both will be helped, depending on how much help the players give themselves. Both prayers will be answered, one yes, one no. But with all the beer in the stands and the betting and the odds, with all the Sunday afternoon spent in other than pursuits meant to keep the Sabbath day holy, if I were the Almighty I think I might be just a bit offended by the hypocrisy of the whole thing.

I think they should prohibit the players from thanking God for helping them score touchdowns ...
because that's just stupid.
I'll be the first to admit that my idea of God is pretty different.
I believe in a God with a long white beard, a gold crown,
and a long robe with lots of shiny jewels on it.
He sits on a big throne in the clouds,
and he's about five hundred feet tall.
He talks in a real deep voice like, "I...AM...GOD!"
And, he can blow up stuff just by looking at it.
This is my own, personal idea of God.

We play God Bless America at the baseball stadiums... not sure how
this is much different? I tend to agree with the warrior, that it doesn't really need to be on the PA system, but I'm not sure why we can't just chose not to listen to it? I don't pay attention to half the stuff I hear over a PA system. LOL

not that this has anything really to do with it but
if I had to listen to Roseanne sing the national anthem and grab her crotch - what's wrong with a 30 second prayer. it's not like they are asking us to kneel for an hour.

You don't think that Christians should pray more?
or you don't think that he said that since Christians founded America, we should live by their rules?
or you don't think that it doesn't really harm anything by letting them pray for 30 seconds?
The thing that I would bring up is, can't they pray on their own for 30 seconds? Is there a reason why they need to put it over the PA system? No one is stopping them from praying.

Christians are sick and tired of turning the other cheek?
They better start praying more to gain god's patience and wisdom.
Aside from the fact that what he's saying is that this isn't a land of individual rights but we should instead succumb to a mob rules mentality, I have no problem with someone taking 30 seconds to ask for safety of player and fans.
