gome,
You're right. I've wasted way too many minutes being pulled into the immaturity of it all already.
I need to get to bed and forget about it all for the night.
You know, sometimes, I can't tell if you are just incredibly funny, or if some of the freaks your talking about are so odd, that it HAS to be incredibly funny.
Either way, I always get a good laugh out of your thoughts. Thanks for always putting a smile on my face.

That sounds like a good plan.
Thanks for your thoughts on my cursor, too!

I don't think some of them know. They try to get around it by not using your name, or using different forms of it.

Thanks so much. It's sad that these things happen. What's even sadder is that I allow some of these individuals to provoke me to anger.
I have to try to remember....What doesn't matter, doesn't matter.

How true. If they didn't want to understand, they won't understand, no matter how many times I explain myself.

You should be able to block anyone you want to.
It's no one's business why.

Sunnybeach, I agree with Tanga that blocking should be private, and for
no explanation necessary. Block whomever and forget having a big debate and explanation, cause if they didn't get it the first 12 times you try to explain, they're not going to ever get it.

In earlier political blogging, there were a couple of very insulting people
who felt free to leave personal, hateful comments on my posts. I finally blocked them and one was eventually banned for violating the code of conduct. You don't have to tolerate it Sunny, nor should you, imo. You have rights too.

slander shouldn't occur at all..as .Dave. says, it's illegal, plain and
simple, and so is libel..I try to stay positive like you do, Sunny, and have blocked a couple of bloggers just to be on the safe side..
..I'd rather err on the side of caution.
I wonder if bloggers (some, not all) even know what slander and libel are?? It's easy enough for them to find out.

Slander and libel are both against the law, I believe. And against the
Blogit Code of Conduct.

Sunnybeach7 - probably the thing that surprises me the most about this type
of forum is; how many people simply do not know how to behave in public.
For some, this assertion could be shortened to simply; do not know how to behave (period). I've had a couple of psychos that had to be blocked. One thought that he was the messiah reincarnate, I had to block him when he just wouldn't give up on his quest to discredit me at all costs. The other thought that he was Einstein reincarnate, but even on my most charitable days I could not stop myself from laughing at a blog entitled: "Darwin's Theory of Relativity" ....I tried to be nice, scout's honor I did, but I just had no interest in dialogue with someone so ill educated but at the same time so completely unaware of their ignorance. The immature antics you describe speak volumes of those who do such things. Life is too short to waste a minute of it on such people.

Actually, I don't visit the blogs of people who
I don't agree with. That way, I'm not tempted to voice my opinion negatively, and subsequently don't invite them to come to my place to wipe their muddy shoes. I don't like conflict, so I stay away from places where that could erupt.
I love the cursor, by the way...!

It's hard to say why that happens. I have run into that a time or two also, where I had no idea what happend.
Sometimes I think it's accidental.

he Sunny, I got blocked by some one recently, but I never did anything to
that person, I don't even who she/he is. Usually I am diplomatic when I write comments, but I still got blocked, may be some one who hates me with out my knowledge.

Yes, I think that some personalities are just not compatable. I don't feel that way about anyone very often. But when it does happen, I try to steer clear and hope to get the same.
I think that over time, and as we get to know someone, it gets easier to interpret the meanings behind their word. Once we somewhat know the personality of the person. Some people are really hard to tell though, what they're thinking.

Boy, do they ever get misinterpreted, Sunnybeach; like you said, without
eye contact, facial expression etc, we're working solely on words alone, and that gets tricky. I have made missteps, and made mistakes, but over time, I think even without all the visual cues, we get to know each other's true characters by how we do or don't stir the pot.
I've learned a little, I hope, and also that there are people I just don't click with and that's fine, I just hope they extend me the same courtesy, so we can all get along.

I agree with you. I don't really see anything wrong with being direct. At least that is handling the situation head on.
I think one of the problems that arise online is that we can't comunicate with the person face to face, and watch their expressions, body language, hear the tone of their voice, etc. So things can easily get misinterpreted.

Sunnybeach, slander or derogatory talk is never good.
I'm more a straight-up person who likes to deal with things up front, and sometimes that gets me into trouble or I get misunderstood.
Life is complicated, people are complicated and we're all consenting adults here. Let's just relax and have a good time.

and she never got to experience "teen Life" or 20's life without having responsibility. i had my son at 20 but i had alot of living before then so it wasn't that traumatic for me. my father also considered her the "black sheep" because she was so rebellious. he was a nasty man with great intelligence. bad combination.
