Jane's Opinion
I think perhaps we may need to wait until the noose is tight before we celebrate....

Avant Gard
He has burried so many, and so many of them were still alive. He killed a lot of people he did not even burry. I am glad he is having to answer for his crimes.

Corbin they have ransacked the world and it is blind.
This time someone has said to them we can have a democratic trial and easily see you are guilty.

Tanga that seems to be the concern of the sane. To many here
believe we could pull right out and it would be okay. Not so! More positive work has been done than people believe.

On a more serious note......
Talk about a long overdue verdict.........and let's face it, it was victor's justice, just like the Nuremberg Trials were. We should have just shoved a pistol in his mouth and blew his brains out 5 minutes after he was captured. The result would have been the same and it would have been a lot quicker and easier than making up some court from scratch that's supposed to subjectively judge Saddam's actions as a dictator. Even though we're trying to put a happy face on his execution by having a show trial, people are still complaining, so what would have been the harm in simply killing him outright, early on?

Yes indeed the people have spoken and now they have to carry through within a short time period. Nice Noose was headlines in the Post this morning. I like the way the Iraqis do it, no one sits on death row forever and appeals. They like to get it over with. I like that~

I hope that
it continues on this path. What happens when the soldiers leave? I think the world community has this question in mind.

Justice would have been better served if they'd simply tossed a grenade down the sewer that rat lived in. End of story. Good post though luv.

good post! I can't know how God is going to judge that man, but I have a pretty good idea what history's judgment is going to be...

You're welcome, Justi, it puts it into perspective for me, not to gloat
over the downfall of an enemy, that "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord", all justice is in the hands of God. The death of another human being is the most serious thing I can think of, and how I will face God, with a clean conscience or not, is my biggest concern, that my hands be clean.
Be blessed, let God be God, and let your heart heal.

Your are right he will face that in the Great White Thrown Judgement. According to the Bible after enough turnings away the Lord no longer grants mercy. A sad situation for anyone. Thank you for the comment.

Yes turning one over to God is a worse punishment than man can give. Thank you for reading.

It's true, Justi, in the end God is our final judge and he will face him
soon. May God have mercy on his soul. Be blessed and have a good Sunday.

Justi,
Finally, a "leader" is maybe getting his just deserts. Actually, nothing we humans can do would be enough to be his just deserts. His soul will have a lot to answer for. Good post.
