Star,

Well, I know your advice is good, but sometimes I just get an irresistible urge to irritate people.  It's kind of a shortcut--a quick and easy way to find out who they really are.  You do, however, have to be careful not to go so far that you introduce a distortional factor into your results.

But let's face it.  Don't you know a few people who are so offensive that you feel that it is your duty to see just how much you can irritate them?  I don't like to irritate pleasant people, but there are a few around who richly deserve a good rasping.

thank you Symphony...

I always am happy to see your comments.  I need to get back to my ''busy Blogging'' mode.

I haven't checked read counts closely enough to know how many sullen offendees have blown off in the wind, but I can see by the few comments thus far that the grain is staying around.       jj Flash

offby,

Surely you couldn't have much trouble coming up with something offensive.

Then, on the other hand, maybe you would.  I'm an expert at offending others, but the real secret to offending others is in never becoming offended oneself.  As a matter of fact, one of the most offensive things one can do is to remain unoffended by attempts that others make to offend one.  I honestly believe that is probably about the most effective way that exists for instantly offending others to the limit of their ability to endure being offended.

The most endearing element of being offensive is that the most offensive of people are always the most easily offended.  I think it has something to do with the relationship between egotism and offensiveness.

I plan to proceed with an effort to have Offensi Fu accepted as a Martial Art.  There will, of course, be several degrees of Black Belts.  One must never forget the spiritually enlightening pleasure of viewing the puffy redness in facial contortions of the truly offended.

Thank you for your thought provoking comment.     JJ Flash
