What ticks us off about what Kerry said...
there's more than a grain of truth in it. It's the poor, under-educated young men who become cannon fodder. And the wealthy C student graduates of expensive colleges who send them into unfriendly fire with insufficient armor. Kerry's problem, as I see it, is that he actually is not Joe Average, but a safely insulated member of the elite. It's not that he doesn't care - he just doesn't know.
