It's good to see that some people are not afraid to use their union. Good luck...

the grievances will be filed this week and we will see who wins this one

I think you're right on this one!
It would be one thing if he asked you once in a casual way, but to keep on asking is definitely not right.

Yes I do think you have a grievance

What TAO said
I agree with him - something similar to "I don't plan on retiring any time soon" or "never" in answer to his question would be entirely appropriate. (You are free to phrase this in your own way, of course.) My opinion is that the "supervisor" is being a total idiot by pestering you about this issue.

Often times a clever retort is the answer...
Although filing a grievence may be the way to go, an answer such as "I get far too much satisfaction in a job well done that I cannot imagine ever retiring.  Maybe retirement is something you should consider" may do more for your working relationship.  If you can find a way to relay the fact that you are as much a vibrant and strong member of your company as any, probably more so, than the issue of age can be put our of their, and your, mind.  You are not old by any means and the less credence you give to that notion, the better off you will be.  Filing a grievence could help. Rising above the foolish utterences of a jack ass definitely will!

Good luck and may you have a fantastic day!!
