Hi sannhet!
...yes, through out time the soldier's story is the same in every war... it just gets more technical, from the days of spears to today's rocket launchers... thanks for dropping by...

Hi Mademoiselle!
..no sun glasses, just steel grey eyes that looked right through you... "maggot," and other such language was used more by the Marine Corp drill sargeants... Thanks for dropping by...

Mason -
Don't know why, but these drawings remind me of Flag of our Fathers, the new Clint Eastwood movie I went and saw this past week end. What a great film!

This is going to be a good series.
Is it Ronald Searle who did the POW sketches. It's that stolen feel that reminded me.

Did your drill sergeant have a jut jaw, and a really thin mustache? And wear sunglasses all the time, even at night?
And, did he always call everyone "maggot" or "puke"? And say things like, "I bet, right about now, you probably want to go run home cryin' to your mama!"
If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy,
throw one of those small pumpkins.
Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is,
and while they are thinking,
you can throw a real grenade at them.
