Kerry has his own opinion about Iraq

That's good to know, FreemanWalking, I realize my knowledge of the South

is spotty, and I hope I haven't offended you by asking too blunt a question.  Thanks for giving me the inside scoop. I'll be working all day in the polls, Washington state has put in electronic voting machines for the disabled only. and I'm struggling to learn to be an AVU geek, at 6 in the morning, oh help!

Anyway, it'll be a long day, but a rewarding one, being involved and God, I so hope that the Democrats take at least the House so we can start to clean up. There may be good Republicans, just as there are lousy Democrats, but this is the system we have, a two-party one where the power to get things done breaks down by party, so I am so wanting to see audits and inquiries into Halliburton, Iraq and Katrina, I can't tell you. I am sick, sick of arguing over who's worse, I want to see some action, not this nitter nattter.

It's about damned time we get things done, I'm sick of wating for justice.

Blanche, don't believe that crap Hollywood and the Left-wing media

tells you about the South (or whatever TN, KY, NC and VA are).  A lot of people here are for Harold Ford but we've already seen scandal in his home voting distirct just as early voting ends - mutiple votes casts by one person and the disappearance of 12 voting machine "smart cards".  Corker has a slight lead because rather than being a career politician (who is campaiging for his high school drop out brother to take his seat in the HoR) Corker went out and built a construction business and has done a good job of being mayor of a city.  He has come under fire for being part of an administration that supported a state income tax but I think he has been exonerated for his role in that.

Ford is a good man and a blue dog democrat but if elected the nation would be one step closer to idiot liberal democrats like Pelosi and Kennedy having free reign.

I'm optimistic, Freeman; I don't think Kerry did any real damage.

I personally don't feel he's got the common touch or the "right stuff" (eg, charisma) to be a good politician (plus he's boring as hell), but I don't think that anybody who was going to vote Democrat will say to themselves, "Gee, I was opposed to the rampant, unconscionable spending in Iraq, the way the war is being handled, the economy is in the toilet and American jobs are being outsourced and being replaced with Mickey D's and the economic statiistics being padded that way, but hey, Kerry changed my mind".

No, I think there are WAY too many pissed-off people for that. It's a non-issue.

And I wonder if a Black Democrat had a prayer of winning Tennessee anyway? What do you think, you were raised there.

I always like Howard Dean.
I can forgive people for saying stupid things, but John Kerry never had my support.  The media is largely Republican, so I only watch Jon Stewart, if I watch tv. Even though Jon Stewart's making jokes, sometimes, it's really scary- not funny.  Especially with that child molester guy, and the house speaker knew about it? Anyway, I totally understand.  It's like choosing between, dumb, creepy and stupid sometimes.

It is embarrassing, Freemanwalking, you'd think with all this practice, the
Dems could get their act together, it's practically handed to us on a platter, but no, Kerry has to stick his foot in his mouth. I don't know what he was thinking, blurting that out there like that, he has to know that he's being scrutinized. It reminds me of the flap over Hilary (whom I'm not a big fan of), making an offhand remark about staying home and baking cookies, it didn't go over well at all with the stay at home moms.
