it wouldn't change much

those with money, prestige and power could still get away with murder

while the rest of us have to watch our backs.

Yes, that's precisely what I think will happen!
In a society in which we are all microchipped, it will allegedly be for national security, particularly the way things now stand. We're still a bit hyper after 9/11, even though that happened five years ago, so people will do anything to avoid terrorism, even get microchipped. Look at how people fell in line when the ban on fluids on carry-on luggage came down recently - just like sheeple. Nobody thought to question it, despite the fact that most of the people brought on perfectly innocent fluid substances what would be used for nonnefarious purposes. Do we really deserve either freedom or security if we fall in line like meek sheeple?

I wrote a paper about Franklin last semester

and read several of his quotes.

"People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both."

I think so, Success - I didn't attribute the quote because I wasn't sure where it came from, but I think you're right about Franklin saying it.

What TVBlogger Said
Those who would trade freedom for security deserve neither freedom nor security.

Sannhet, people will always use the government to steal money

TV, I agree. Risk and freedom go hand in hand.
Security and slavery are the opposite.

Success -
If the government tracked all of the money being spent, there would inevitably be some missing - it's the nature of the beast.

Lots
The government has no business in my private life.  They can't legislate my personal morality but I gotta be honest, with this administration's policies, we're heading there faster than I'm comfortable with and too many people seem far too willing to trade their personal freedom for security.  Fools.
