Comments on Proof of the existence of hell?

Two things, Xeno...

1. That does appear to be a website by the Minutemen who were shouted down at Columbia. I infer that you disapprove. Too bad – these are a bunch of "good guys."

2. What can you possibly mean that "some things need to be shouted down"? Do you know that I spent a career (and put my life on the line) so that you and everyone else can speak out WITHOUT being shouted down?

In a free society there simply is no speech so vile that it "must be shouted down." I know that some spoken things are very offensive – such as the hate speech of the Nazi Skinheads, the Islamofascists, or the far left Socialists, BUT they must not be shouted down simply because we disagree with them. Instead, let's marginalize them by not attending their speeches, walking away from their diatribes, and by physically restraining and silencing them when they disrupt others who are practicing their free-speech rights.

I am perfectly happy with physically gagging a disruptive screamer until a presentation is over. Thereafter, the screamer can do what he or she pleases – so long as it doesn't interfere with my right to do what I wish.

depends argee on what you said

some things maybe have to be shouted down.  considering what you post here on Blogit.

but that aside, this Russian story has been recycled more times than an aluminum can.  I heard it maybe twenty or thirty years ago the first time.

Are you sure, Gome...
That that's not a lot of crap?

arGee - you have it backwards - they would let you up to the podium in the

name of free speech.

Then shout you down when you say something they don't agree with. Its that tricky difference between paying lip service to an ideal but failing miserably when it comes time to actually uphold it.

You can't be serious, Gome...
No right-thinking, educated person would shout down someone else in the name of free speech...would they?

SoloWriter - yep, there is a town called Hell in Michigan
It's just outside of Ann Arbor. They had a big street bash this past June 6. The significance of course was that the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year in this millenium, comprises the number 666.

arGee - you are ignoring the subtleties in the rules of crap spreading
We all have the right to spread all of the crap that we want and of any type; political, religious or unadulterated. But at the same time no one can expect to do so without some sort of challenge. The events you describe fall into the category of "accomplished" crap. That's where a group of people decry the importance of freedom of speech but refuse to let anyone say anything that they disagree with.

And I heard...
That "Hell.com" is for sale for a cool million.

Well, I just read somewhere that Hell is a town in Michigan.

Wait a second, Gome...

I'll spread crap if I want to. If the Dems could do it literally in Chicago in 1968, and if Al Gore can do it figuratively (I think) now, then I'm entitled to spread all the crap I want to...

But wait a second – when I tried to speak my mind back in the 60s as a student at University of Washington, the Left shouted me down. When the Minutemen recently tried to speak at Columbia University as invited guests, the Left shouted them down...so maybe I can't spread crap (or even good information), because the crappers only allow other crappers to have the floor...

MountainClimber56 -- debating whether or not hell exists was not the point

of this post.

I will bet however that if hell does in fact exist, it is not located 10 miles under the earth's surface in Russia.
