Sir Strat, I'm sure your mom would say that!
Sounds appropriate! My mom used to say, "Wait! Sit still..." (as she combed through my hair) and then would say, "Hmmm....here it is. 6....6...aww, pretty close...5. Only a neighbor of the beast."

What a great memory. I do love hearing that parents can be accepting
and not excepting. It gives me hope. I have been so busy, just starting a new class on top of my other one, and a new job starts tomorrow. I haven't forgotten. I'll give you a call asap. Until then, be cool and for pete's sake, aren't witches supposed to not dress up on Halloween? I thought that regular folks wore costumes as a way to disguise themselves from the spirits, and that the witches stayed in plain view? Or is that more new age mumbojumbo? I think I'm going to read my cards now and see what's in the forecast. Happy Halloween, I hope it's great!!

Your folks sound great.
Mine are the same way -- my mom is the kind of woman who would say something like, "MY boy makes the prettiest license plates in the whole prison system!" if she had to....

Ariala has a picture of me in her British Librarian blog tonight. How did
she know? Anyway, crazy is as crazy does, eh? If we only knew what passed through most people's heads most of the time...things like crystals vibrating, etc. Scary.

I think so, too, Whacky!
The weird thing is that my dad is slowly losing his memory (it's never been very good to begin with) and my mom is terminally ill, so she is really confused and has a bad memory these days. I guess I'm grateful for any memories they share with me. :)

Hiya Spiffy, now that is a conundrum for a little kid: if you ARE a witch,
what do you pretend to be when you're dressing in make-believe? So, you're a traditional witch as opposed to a Wiccan, huh? I just figured out that I'm clairkinetic, thanks to TVBlogger, I was so relieved to find that out.
From what I read, it fits exactly with my experiences; not voices, visions or psychic prophesy, but feeling the presence of spirits and who knows what else. Sheesh, I never wanted to be a tourist in the astral realm, now I need a guidebook.
I read your warning to Avant-Garde, btw, good job. I worry about anyone being taking this realm too lightly. I'm still scared spitless from some of my own experiences, never want to go back there, or I'll end up totally crazy.

what a great example they set for you! But the real question is, what do
witches dress as for halloween?
