I named my son Samuel....
...a solid name, versatile and Ok, after one of my faourite writers Samuel Johnson...and so there'd be one less Justin or Jordan or Josh in the world, names to me that pack no weight.....

I like Ladychardonnay's names for her kids, they are beautiful aren't they?
We looked in books for our kids but it also just came to me while I was pregnant. Aidan just sounds so strong and just right for him. His second name is Rorke, my husband's second name. Megan is just beautiful and I have always loved this name. I first wanted to call my girl Melissa but when I was pregnant with her I just didn't feel it right anymore and was leaning towards Megan. Her second name Marè is also her granny's/aunty's second names.
I hate my name and do not know how my mother ever got upon this name. I have no idea what it means and do not even think it is in any book. It is not a common name at all.

I know somebody who named his kids California Seven and Atomic. My own name was once on a list of names you should never give a kid. (It's Olivia). It was on the list with Agnes and so on but then it got to be number one or two in popularity for a while.

My name's Katherine and I'm not all that fond of it.
If I ever have kids, I'm not going to get into that trend of giving my kids strange names. Call me old-fashioned, but I like traditional names that AREN'T last names, place names, or fruit.
