I think I have heard that saying before, but how are we going to know whether it comes true or not if you don't tell us what the wish was?

I don't think I've ever seen a moon with a halo,
but I hope you get your wish. If I wish from looking at your pic, maybe mine will come true too!

Whacky, yes, the other night it was clear as a bell here, too
never thought to make a wish, though.....is there such a thing as a "belated" wish??

Great shot
I have heard of wishing on a shooting star. Next time I see a moon like that I will be sure to make a wish

I never heard of the making of a wish on the moon like that, but what have we got to lose? Nice picture. I can never get a good moon shot!

A halo is caused by ice high in the atmosphere, through which the moon is seen. It appears larger at the horizon because of the amount of atmosphere the light is refracted through. Thought you might be interested to learn this.

Never wished upon a moon, or heard the saying.

I never knew you had to make a wish.....I will remember that in future.

I never get a realized wish simply by wishing.

Hi Whacky,
Being a Wiccan, I follow the phases of the moon quite closely. She is beautiful, isn't she?

Whacky...

The moon is beautiful.  I enjoy checking out the moon many nights.  When I was pregnant for my fourth child, I use to lay my hands on my huge stomach while in bed and turn my head to look out the window while feeling the new little life move inside me.  I remember, as I studied the moon, I'd pray for a healthy baby.

When that baby, a little girl was learning to talk, some of her first words were "my moon."

She thought God put it there, just for her, only.    Your post made me remember this, so you must know I enjoyed your post a lot!

My mom used to say that if I pointed my finger at the moon, someone would
cut off my ears... I wish my mom were little nicer.
