janeybaby

you haven't looked at the economy through the eyes of lower income people in the U.S. whose livelihoods depended on small factories scattered throughout small town America, only to see those factories close and the jobs go overseas.

seems you aren't affected by this at all.

Yeah and then places like Toyota are adding factories in this country

with good paying jobs, so please, spare me the exaggerations, xenox.

Trust me, I would prefer to keep jobs in this country rather than ship them oversees.  I am definitely not promoting that; however, I also think it's important to be RATIONAL when it comes to one's description of the economy.

let's see janey
Ford closes plants, lays off, GM does the same.

jobs continually relocate overseas.

what is left here?

 where are the jobs?

oh yes, Mcdonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, houirly at retail stores -- oh yes, Wal-Mart and Sam's -- lower wage jobs at companies that get their goods from overseas.

maybe more jobs -- but better?  hardly.

you must be pretty well immune to all this, janesopinion.  you don't need to worry about your job.

maybe you aren't around people who need jobs.

I doubt it has a whole lot to do with the economy.

How did Toyota do in its 3rd quarter?  I bet they made money.  For whatever reason, Americans are buying foreign made or owned cars, to the detriment of the US automakers.

Please, xenox, stop the yellow journalism, alright???
