- Go to This was in my emails this morning
Sunnybeach7 - It would be a comfort of sorts if there were only one in
in every crowd.
But this type of email where some festering little dweeb decides that I must know his opinion of me is not at all unusual. I've had numerous similar emails over the years and I have had worse. This indicates that there is unfortunately more than "one" in some crowds.

Well, judging from what they said, it appears they already know they are nuts.
Ya know, there's one in every crowd.

faholo - that's very sweet and indicative of your kind nature but . . . .
being bullied is something that never crossed my mind. Because the individual who sent this email has nothing posted, there is very little to go on in terms of who he/she is. But the action of sending such an email speaks volumes about the person's lack of maturity. I am aware of how serious the Blogit site's adminstrators are in dealing with things such as this but I didn't feel that was the right action here. I viewed this email as a dopey kid trying to be clever and decided to use it for clicks instead of any punitive action. You can bet however that if this happens again with this person, that I won't be such a nice guy.

Hi, gomedome, if you were my little brother
I would give that big bully a chattered jaw! Please go ahead and report him because I can tell you from experience the Blogit team and techs will act immeidately, they are not kidding about getting rid of those who abuse the right to participate in the Blogit process. They are in a service business and they care about us! Take care and ignor, ignorance! Keep writing!

Xeno-x - I can see where an email such as this may bother someone but
it has little affect on me.
I thought about reporting the individual and had even written a response to them to send via email but decided instead to do as I always do. Let those who would object most to this blog propel it upwards in the rankings for me. It never fails, the chuckleheads will never learn.

TVBlogger - that's the thing - there has to be a lack of maturity involved
I've had a few of these types of letters sent to me in the past. Aside from the pointlessness of it from the perspective of the sender, invariably they cannot handle any form of return volley. It always seems to be the same type of immature character profile that does this sort of thing.
As for the spellcheck doing some wierd things; I have noticed that as well. It does not like some pluralisations and is missing entire word families. I keep getting "webster" as a replacement for "website"

things like this email
have driven quality writers from Blogit. I say they should be reported.

These people...
always make me wonder about their sanity. Do they take any time to think through what they are trying to accomplish? Do they expect you to smack yourself on the forehead and realize you are an utter fool? Do they think you will be shamed into seeing things their way? Do they think that type of letter will bring about change? Because if they honestly expect any of those outcomes, they need some serious mental help. They are living in a fantasyland. No one with a rational mind would send a letter like that. Report them. Maybe they'll get some help.
(P.S. In this spell check I learned that fantasyland is not a real world but fantasying is. Hmmm.)

ariel70 -- It definitely is a species unto its own
I actually wrote a response to this email and fired it off from one of the email boxes that
I use for such occassions. The individual had a challange/response system set up that would have had me divulging more than I want to when someone's sanity is in question . . so I posted their email here instead.

blackcat30 - it is creepy when you think about it
I don't know if the "read only" membership plan still exists but at one time you could pay a lower membership fee, read and comment but not post. I think the idea was to allow literary egents non committal access to a pool of writing talent. No laughing now but I either read that in a press release 3 years ago or somewhere here on Blogit. This may not be a case of a read only membership however.

Gomey
That mysterious being is clearly a member of the genus lurkus lurkus, species lurkus fatuus, that inhabit foetid swamps, low class pubs and other peope's blogs.
This creature is dangerously predatory as well as abysmally stupid, and has been known to drain hapless bloggers of every drop of blood and talent. It is the only way in which it can exist ; a sort of blogging vampire, against which garlic and the cross are totally ineffective. The only remedy is the ash stake thro' the heart. Preferably slowly.

LOL... your last sentence made me laugh (sex & travel)....
What a judgmental fool. I don't understand why people have memberships without blogs... that's always a bit creepy to me.
