Saul_Relative,
Thanks for the comment.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if the world was at that point now?

Judge ye not, RAME. Treat others as you would be treated.
One bad apple... etc, etc, etc.  Anyway, maybe someday we'll all practice what we preach.  Better yet, just stop preaching and do it... btw, good post, RAME.

Moxie Maven,

Thanks for your insight.  I wouldn't want to visit the home of someone I hated either.  Actually, I don't hate anyone, though I dislike some people quite a lot.  The people who come to this country who hate us are usually, I think, those who wish to use us, get a good education, make money off of us, and then kill us.  They want the inside track to make killing us easier.  Our "lovely" government has a big part in actually making that happen.

It seems that at least some immigrants to this country (From what I've personally seen, they are middle eastern.), the government has it set up so that we educate them for free, set them up in business for free, and then don't make them pay taxes for 5 years!

Our government doesn't do that for its own citizens, taxpayers!  What's wrong with this picture?!

AbsolutelyPositive,
I know what you are saying and I feel the same way as you do.  Thanks.

azfal50,
Thank you for your words.  Many of us here in the U.S.A. don't think much of George W. Bush either.   We are just hoping that we will have a decent group of candidates when the presidential election time comes around again.

You are so right.  Too bad so many people have to be so ignorant and jealous, not to mention judgemental.  It's wonderful, though, to have friends like you.  Thanks for all you do.

Nitewriter,
It is a shame that people judge so many by the few.  Isn't it always that way.  A few morons ruin it all for the majority.  Thanks for the comment.

Anybody that "hates our president" or "hates our government"
should not have a right to be here and take advantage of what our government offers. I wouldn't visit the home of someone I "hate", would you?

I am British and it is true
We don't hate Americans, we hate your government. Many of us hate our own government. Our leaders make decisions and then tell lies and spread propaganda to justify their actions.

I agree with you partly .Let me tell you thatthe Americans as a nation are
not hated anywhere, it is the policy of Mrs. George W. Bush which creates terror arround the world . He wants to become a self-appointed guardian of the world .There is some misconception in your thought some where.

RAME

You Americans are experiencing the perils of empire ; just as we British once did. When you're top dog, everyone snaps at your heels.

It's not the slightest use you saying " hell, we aren't all like that!" 'cos sterotypes are set in concrete in the minds of the ignorant anti-Americans. You see a few of them in here.

'Course a lot of it's jealousy, isn't it? Europeans and British who can't get their act together ... hell, in the case of the Europeans, can't even defend themselves ... want to drag you down to your level.

Still, WE aren't all like that, either!

being an american living in germany
I am starting to see why people hate us.  I don't agree with it, but all they see is what they know.  They never will see the truth about americans without actually living there for a while and learning about it.  Here they see the military 18 year old kids who don't know anything and act all stupid and high and mightly.  Not all, but some.  And those few ruin it for all the other americans living here who really respect this country as well as our own.
