It is the acoustics, Sunnybeach. Something about the tile and reverb.
Quite a few artists over the years practiced in bathrooms and restrooms to get that effect. Personally, I sound like David Coverdale of Whitesnake when I'm in the shower. When I'm outside the shower, I sound more like a weird cross between Leon Redbone and Willie Nelson. Why, when I'm in a good echoey public restroom, I can't help but spontaneously break into "Here I Go Again". And I hear that George Michael is still giving mini concerts in public restrooms.

Rumored
That's interesting. Maybe I should try adjusting the water temps to find out?

I talk to myself way more than I sing, but usually not in the shower.

I don't think it's the tiles, I don't have any.

I've noticed that too. I think it has to do with the tiles
and maybe the water?

Singing in the Shower
Sometimes I do sing in the shower and it always sounds way better than outside. I think the reasons are that you are uninhibited (nobody can hear you), maybe you don't hear yourself that well (because of the water), and maybe the moisture in the shower makes your voice flow better. That's my take on it - in any case - it's fun!
