Good! You got my point.
I have to admit that this is where I differ significantly from the antipsychiatry people in our midst. Although there are indeed human rights abuses in psychiatry (think of all the Soviet dissidents diagnosed with "sluggish schizophrenia"), there is also such a thing as abnormal or unacceptable behavior that needs to be dealt with if we are to live in what purports to be a civilized society. Suicide is unacceptable because it affects others so deeply.

Suicide is painless?

Suicide is a crime of violence perpetrated against the people who love the perpetrator.  I know this from personal experience.

Decades of guilt and hatred are left unanswered, as you wrestle with conflicting emotions of grief over the loss of a loved one, and hatred of the person who took that loved one from you.  That they are one and the same person, doubles the confusion in your soul.
