Religion is not bad but it's the people who deface it

Sannhet, I like that. There is only so far we can step out of the zone
of our own choice

Success -
I try to step outside of my comfort zone - whenever I'm comfortable in doing it. . .

TV, I didn't need another reason

You will have to tell me if your show gets on TV.  I'll actually watch the dang thing for that reason.

"Yeah, I know the writer for this show.  I know, I'm cool."

Faholo, we're going to get along fine

I only speak limited scifi geek
Stargate is pretty much the only scifi show I watch unless you count Lost.  So, I think I can safely avoid the need for a support group. Though, I did watch Star Trek when I was a kid...

The series I'm working on would be throwing around a few heretical ideas as well.  Just one more reason to root for my success.

SuccessWarrior, I agree and I of all people will not tell
science teachers what to teach your children. I had enough of that when I was an elementary teacher. School Boards and Government need to stay out of classrooms! Keep writing,  faholo

TVblogger, if I watched TV, I might have known this

We need more of it.

I did see the movie though and enjoyed it.  Same message.  In fact, it went so far as to show that not only were they not actually gods, they were very selfish and used the worship to further their own ends.

A good lesson to note.

P.S. I am sorry that you speak scifi geek.  Is there a support group for that?  =)

Faholo, you can believe anything you want
As long as you don't go around killing people or telling science teachers what they're allowed to teach to my son.

I think
there was one show that did what you say quite nicely... Stargate SG:1.  Yes, I can be a scifi geek.  The deeper message of that show is that most "gods" are false and are simply beings more technologically advanced. True power comes when we remove the bonds of false worship and truly evolve the human soul.  It had a pretty powerful message hidden behind a space western.

O.K. if I don't try to convert you, will you not try to convert me,
or must I believe what you believe before you can be happy? Keep writing,  faholo

hehe
When someone pulls that one on me, I just shrug my shoulders and say, ok let's let them slug it out.

Yeah, because everyone's imaginary friend is a little bit different
Then someone has to say theirs is the only true imaginary friend.  Then the fighting starts.

I learned that from my dog to

Just remember, there's really nothing wrong with religion, it's only when someone tries to organize it, that it gets mucked up.

I can have my own imaginary friend, but when a bunch of us try to share our imaginary friend things get mucked up in a hurry.

Good luck

Religion is the opiate of the masses.  Man has been addicted for such a long time, that I fear no replacement methodone exists to wean him from it.

Still, keep up the good work.

I read religous blogs here to try and keep out of the trap
but I don't use many quotes that don't agree with my philosophy

I agree that none of us wants to go beyond that precious "comfort zone." Ever notice how people tend to quote only those who agree with them?
