It's always a little deeper than that, food4thought. Initially, the perps
maintain that they did it because dads and moms made them to their homework or chores, gramps wouldn't buy him a video game, auntie grounded her.  But the answer is always a helluva lot more complicated (unless the perps are sociopaths and the killings could have been done for the hell of it).

And there's the crux of the why, Moxie? What do they hope to gain by
mass murder, killing of x amount of people?  Where's the payoff?

Saul...
It could be a "copy  cat syndrome" type of thing.  But shouldn't these people also see that the perps usually get arrested and sent up the river?  That happened a few years ago about 10 miles from here and no one really knows why the young man killed his family.  Reports were he was mad his father made him do his chores.

I had heard about this on the news when it happened
and I just don't get it. What's the matter with our society that people are snapping and resortingto such evil drastic measures for...what?

The blue dress affair should have never become important, Pat B.
Unfortunately, a lot of crazy, terrible stuff has been happening lately.  I'm hoping for a change in news patterns, some things less dark.  Maybe I need to get laid...

Y'know, I've spotted a disturbing trend here...

your blogs have moved from bad and bloody to mass murder for no apparent reason. I commented a week or so ago that I thought the world had gone nuts, and wiping out families and little kids who've never done any deliberate harm is a sign that something's in the air. Something deadly.

I'm hoping you'll switch to a new political story -- get your mind off death and onto something healthier, like sex, maybe.  It's gotten so nobody pays any mind to the old stories about Mr. Bigshot chasing Miss Assistant around the desk or grabbing a nooner at some nearby hotel.  Who'd a thunk a bit of DNA on a blue dress would become passe?
