SuccessWarrior - we went through much the same thing pertaining to

stores open on Sundays.

There were lots of reasons thrown up as well. It was going to destroy the family unit, advance divorce rates, elevate crime, people would be marrying sheep ....no wait, that last one was a different public outcry......but anyways, all it ever did was make it so that a few less people could attend church because they were working.....hmmm, there is definitely a pattern to these religiously motivated public outcries?

What, then, is the point of going to church?
Unless it is to co-ordinate one's activities to help our fellow man? If so, fair enough. Altho usually the real agenda is to help our fellow man if we think it'll get moe converts. Why is that? Does it basically come down to more people = more money for the church, or is it just the more people in our church, the more power the church has to influence society?

I do not see Sunday as anymore sacred than any other
day of the week. Because God is present in each day of the week, each day is sacred and I am praise God seven days a week! Keep writing,   faholo
