My sister has a hummingbird nest she collected about 40 years ago.
She has always kept it on a book shelf in whatever home she is living in. Don't know how she has kept the dust off it!

The unofficial way would be to apply logic. Keep it in a small clear glass/plastic box. (dry aquarium, hamster clear plastic carrier etc) You can decorate your enclosure with more twigs, leaves etc.
