Ladychardonnay,

I swear periodically, too, but I haven't done it in front of my grandson.  Right now, he knows it is cute because of the way people react but soon he will hopefully see that it isn't nice or attractive.

That's why we try not to react to it.  We don't want him to receive attention for it.

Thanks for the comment.

Shellyb,
If anyone called me that, 3 year olds included, I would never laugh for I wouldn't find it the least bit humorous.  That would definitely be something to deal with on the spot.  Thanks for your comment.

Julia
Usually, it does take a lot for me not to laugh but when it really catches me off guard, I can't help it.  I've been lucky though that he hasn't seen me laugh and I was able not to laugh out loud.  Thanks for stopping by.

RAME....
With raising my children, I would say, "I know those words too, but I chose not to use them."  Little children always have their satellites turned on and they seem to pick up the words we emphasize.  We are their biggest role models.

It must take a lot for you not to laugh,
I am not sure that I could refrain, though I know it would be the right thing to do. I'm not so good with controlling my laughter...
