The incident I spoke of OFFBEATS happened 23 years ago, which is nearly a
quarter century, but I won't quibble over a couple years. The shame is that the state of Massachusetts allowed the bastard to serve until 1997.

It is beleived Corbin that some of those boys were 15 and they're talking
about prosecuting him under the state laws of the respective states these boys were from. Could mean a long legal problem for Foley.

in DC the age of consent is 16.....but Foley is still scum.....BTW...a former Representative....not a Senator.

Normally, OFFBEATS, I'd agree and say that you're right about blaming a
political party, but too many Republicans are involved in this reaching too far back in time. Foley's aid who testified before the House Ethics Committee yesterday put Hastert as knowing about Foley's 'indiscretions' to at least two years ago. Reynolds knew about it a year ago when the Louisiana representative told him. That's two more. Aids and staffers talk to each other. What about the other Republican representative who confronted Foley? He's another. No, everyone in the Republican Party, I'm sure, didn't know about it. But too damned many did. And that Democrat episode is a shame on Congress, but that was a quarter century ago and really has nothing to do with Foley. Every one of those guys who knew, be it found out that they were Republican or Democrat, needs to be forced to resign. Every one. If the constituents of these representatives and/or senators vote them back into office, they are condoning the acts of a pedophile's enablers.
And, OFFBEATS, not physically touching someone does not obviate a sexual act. It hasn't been proven either way whether or not he actually physically molested a page, but the internet traffic constitutes sexual activity. They're underage. He's a pedophile. Period.

Gary Studds was a scumbag from my state who continually harrassed
Congressional pages who had considered themselves lucky to get their summer jobs and could not afford to lose them because they would have to answer to their parents and families. Barney Frank was another homosexual politician who suffered a scandal but Barney at least picked on somebody his own size. His was an adult scandal much more palatable to the human soul. Everybody has problems finding workable sexual partners. Studds should have been fucking impeached and imprisoned. So should Foley.

I hadn't heard he had sex with anyone..I did hear about the Democrat who had sex with a minor a few years back and he got a standing ovation in the house. So I don't think it's really fair to blame a political party, maybe we should punish the ones who are really guilty...and innocent until proven otherwise. I think Foley is a piece of garbage but I still haven't heard of him being intimate with anyone...
