OMG - you should write a book about all this stuff.
What an amusing story this would make....think about it. Really.

OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!
My most adventurous thing was wearing my skates home from school, when I was only suppossed to use them on the school ground for a special occasion.  I found out too late I could not stop going down hill, and ran into a parked cars... needless to say, my knees are truly trashed!

The best compliment I ever had
We had been running a race, 4 or 5 little boys and me, a young girl. One of the boys said to me afterwards: "You're not like a girl at all, you are more like a boy". It was meant as a compliment.

"what doesn't kill you - only makes you stronger" is a quote on your "About Me" page and it seems rather fitting given the tales you have just shared of your adventurous childhood.  I, by contrast, was a shy, easily intimidated kid and was too fearful to break the rules.  I bet there's still some of that fearless girl in you - but let's assume now you're just a little wiser.  Nice to read about your childhood.

That's a lovely picture of your's where yoyu are just not looking the Tomboy that you were. An enjoyable read. As a man I can only recount my sisters tomboyish pranks, but now she has turned quite protective towards her children. Even I am less wild now.

Wild child, lol...

So was I...running with the neighborhood boys, shirtless and fearless until age...never mind, lol.. Climbing a huge tree and finding myself so high up I finally lost my nerve and panicked...loudly...:) I was lucky not to have sustained many injuries; most serious being a broken ankle at age 11. I was soon running again with a heavy, extended cast clomping along, much to my doctor and parent's dismay.

Great post and picture Symphony, you don't look too happy though..lol.

Wow, you were a busy child, LOL

I was a tomboy too, but not a mischievous one as you were...

It is a cute picture! Maybe I will write a post about some of my childhood memories...

Great shot! We're all glad your mom made you pose.
I'll have to think back on childhood. I have a list of near fatal accidents and Darwin Award contending moments in my early years that stretch almost to last week.

love the hose
back when i was young we actually wore garter belts with those things - then panty hose came around.  no wonder the little boys followed me and my sister around.  a little burlesque show.

SYMPHONY

I think the most rebellious kids make the most protective parents. I, for one, imagine all kinds of things my kids might get lured into. I see so much crime and all.

You sound like quite an adventuress. You have a rich history that's worth sharing.
