Garry Shandling could play me.

Maybe a young Dustin Hoffman, from The Graduate. I'm a huge fan of Bill Murray, by the way, and he comes to my town often. He's part owner of the local single-A baseball team. Seems like a nice enough guy, but he gets sick of everyone throwing quotes from his various movies at him; "it's in da hole!" "He slimed me," etc.

No, Meryl Streep couldn't play me either. I've decided on John Cusack... no, John Cusack's head on Danny DeVito's body. Yeah, so it's going to take some special effects magic.

They've already found the woman to play the lead
in my life story -- Phyllis Diller!  In her jokes she used to call her husband Fang.  She stole the story from me about Fang being afraid to go into the kitchen.  Said he was afraid of rats. That was my line.  If she's not available, then Goldie Hawn.  She's nothing like me in looks, but she's so talented and beautiful...

Interesting post, Rob.  Definitely gave me something to think about.  I like when you write posts such as this.  They make me smile as well as think.

Honestly, I don't think there's one single actress in Hollywood who could accurately portray me if some poor sod wanted to make a fim about my life.  I'll let you know if ever I come up with one.

As for the passport situation here in America...I did have a passport, but it was stolen a few years after I returned from London.  I did report it, but nothing was ever done about it.  I just pray some sadistic fool idiot didn't lay hands on it!!  If ever I get up the nerve to fly once more, I plan to have it reinstated...I definitely want to see Oz now!!

BTW...If you're ever up for a good laugh, I can imitate an Aussie accent almost perfectly...If you're interested to hear it just give me a shout.  (I learned it, unfortunately, from spending so many years with Mick!!)

Tell ya what, Peachy, how 'bout I find some land and plant that fig tree?  Then you can have all the fresh figs you want!!

Stay well, mate...

Oh wonderful!! I choke to Macy Gray
My life story was already aired in the film Hanging Up.   Meg Ryan played me. Walter Mathhau was cast as my dad. They messed up with his part cause my dad, Angel, was an angel, and now he's literally one. Diane Keaton played my older sister and Lisa Kudrow, my little brother. They did an excellent job capturing my siblings' personality. But if I were to choose my life story, I'd have Annie Lennox play the Melody and at this very moment, I'd be belting "There Must be an Angel Playing with my Heart" to my dad an my loving and adoring fans. Gosh, I don't know.
My personality would probably suggest Chris Elliott or Anthony Edwards.

I think Nic Cage would be pretty good. He got the southerner thing sort of right in Raising Arizona...
